Brief
To create a contemporary 2 storey dwellinghouse and double garage on the outskirts of Banff.
Points of Interest
The design evolved from the concept of laying out the plan to protect the interior from road noise from the public road whilst taking advantage of the views out to sea and towards Whitehills.
Alter and extend an existing 2 storey dwellinghouse in Gardenstown's Conservation Area
We not only designed the house and garage we designed garden walls etc and also a 'wishing well' over drainage pumps
To create a contemporary dwellinghouse in Portsoy's Conservation Area
We have subsequently prepared designs for a separate garage / workshop on the site
The works also included converting part of a steading to additional accommodation and a sun lounge extension
The site at Castle of Cullen is on the ground of an older listed property on the site which was devastated by fire and prior to that a castle.
To design various individual dwelling houses for Phase 3 of a housing development at Colleonard Road, Banff
The Banff Harbour is a listed structure so the design had to be carefully considered to ensure the development had a positive impact being adjacent to the listed structure and also in Banff's Conservation Area.
The building prior to being a filing station was Banff Jail, and the corner towers on Reidhaven Street have been retained as these were part of the Jail and therefore part of Banff's history
The lifeboat station is listed so the conversion works had to be mindful of protecting the character of the original building
Originally the proposals were to convert an original building to flats but just prior to commencement this building, due to its dilapidated state, collapsed
We not only designed the original scheme layout we also prepared a Roads Construction Consent application
The works also included forming extensions for garages in matching finishes - stone and slate

Convert an existing steading range to a dwellinghouse and separate garage / workshop
To create a traditional 3-Bedroom storey and half dwellinghouse and detached garage
Since completing the dwellinghouse we have prepared plans for a detached poolhouse and changing facility
The site formerly held a small fisherman's net store so was quite small and the design evolved to take account of neighbouring properties being close to the site so care had to be taken to avoid undermining these.
